Funeral services with military honors for Charles “Dick” Greenville, 73, of Wells will be held Thursday, February 1, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Grant Hanes and Brother Keith Bickley officiating. Masonic graveside services under the auspices of the Wells Masonic Lodge #915 A.F. & A.M will follow in the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Wells.
Mr. Greenville was born February 28, 1950 in Jacksonville, Texas to the late Mildred (Doss) and Carroll Dewitt Greenville, and died Friday, January 26, 2024 in a local nursing home.
Dick served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He received two Purple Heart Awards, two Bronze Star Medals, and an Army Commendation Medal with three Oak Leaf Clusters. Dick worked in the Oilfield and was a member of the Wells Masonic Lodge #915 A.F. & A.M.
Survivors include his daughter, Christina Dawne Greenville; stepson, Sonny Witt; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bobby and Wanda Greenville, James and Rita Greenville; sister, Elaine Whitehead; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Melissa (Witt) Greenville; and special friend, Don Goff.
Pallbearers will be Anthony Greenville, James Goodson, Justin Greenville, Clifton Hearne, Tanner Glover, and Billy Fondren.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
