Funeral services for Charles T. Cummings, Jr., 72, of Lufkin will be held Sunday, February 18, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Brian Wiggins officiating. Interment will follow in the Whitehouse Cemetery.
Mr. Cummings was born October 15, 1945 in Tulare, California to the late Lois (Haley) and Charles Terrell Cummings, Sr., and died Thursday, February 15, 2018 in a local hospital.
Mr. Cummings was a lifetime resident of Lufkin and a 1964 graduate of Lufkin High School. He retired from Citation (Texas Foundries) following more than 35 years of employment. Mr. Cummings was a lifetime member of the American Foundry Society. He was a handyman, loved to travel and explore new places, and enjoyed the company of his family and loved ones. Mr. Cummings was an avid fisherman and hunter and had been a member of the Piney Ridge Hunting Club since 1983. He was of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include his daughters, Lorelei Cummings and Stacy (Cummings) McClure and husband Grant, all of Lufkin; grandchildren, Kegan Campbell, Honor Campbell, Shyanne Adams, Benton Campbell, David McClure, and Marshall McClure; great-granddaughter, Heather Adams; sister, Lois Ruth (Cummings) Bradbury of Lufkin; companion, Nancy Jernigan of Lufkin; and a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Donna Small; and companion, Maren Bizzell.
Pallbearers will be David McClure, Grant McClure, Kegan Campbell, Benton Campbell, J.B. Nash, and Dakota Adams.
Honorary pallbearers will be Marshall McClure, Larry Bill Bizzell, Kent Cox, and Ed Mount.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Saturday evening at the funeral home.
