Charlene Brock Freeze

Funeral services for Charlene Brock Freeze, 84, of Howe, Texas will be held Thursday, April 25, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Nathan Cain officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.

Mrs. Freeze was born August 20, 1939 in Livingston, Texas to the late Roberta Ellener (Modisette) and Elvin Runnels Brock, and died Saturday, April 20, 2024 at her residence.

Charlene was a woman who loved God and all of His creations. She especially enjoyed cats, flowers, going camping, birdwatching, and traveling to different parts of the country. Charlene had a genuine love for people, especially children. She was a schoolteacher for several years until she started her own family. Oh, how she loved her family! She was a devoted wife to her “Honey” Arthur Alvin Freeze, more commonly known as “Frosty.” She was a loving mother, mother-in-law, Ninny, and great Ninny. But even greater than her love for her family, was her love for the Lord. She delighted in playing the piano and singing songs of praise and worship to the Lord. She never missed an opportunity to read His Word and pray for her family, friends, church family, and anyone with a need. Charlene lived her life in a way that modeled for her family what it means to live as a godly, Christian woman.   She was a genuine lady, who will be truly and deeply missed!

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Grant Sullivan of Howe; son and daughter-in-law, Stephen Scott and Tory Freeze of Mont Belvieu; grandchildren, Christina Sullivan, Tiffany Glover, Samantha Sullivan, Victoria Freeze, and Skyler Freeze; great-granddaughters, Audrey, Raelynn, and Eleanor; and a number of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Arthur Alvin Freeze.

Pallbearers will be Skyler Freeze, Matt Glover, Craig Milton, Tim Norton, Mike Sheddan, and Rev. David Norton.
