Charlcye M. Colburn

Funeral services for Charlcye M. Colburn, 89, of Shreveport, Louisiana, formerly of Lufkin, will be held Friday, May 5, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Stephen Lantis officiating. Private interment will be held in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.

Mrs. Colburn was born July 31, 1927 in Pollok, Texas to the late Myrtle (Ward) and Jesse Charles Thompson, and died Tuesday, May 2, 2017 in Shreveport, Louisiana. She owned the All Travels Travel Agency in Lufkin for more than 20 years. Mrs. Colburn was an avid bridge player and loved to travel. She was a member of First Christian Church Lufkin.

Survivors include her son, Gary Colburn of Montalba, Texas; granddaughters, Shanna Colburn Smith and husband Jason of Cincinnati, Ohio, Allyson G. Colburn of New Orleans, Louisiana, and Michelle Colburn Griffin and husband Doug of Wichita Falls; and great-grandchildren, Josh Cupp, Bryan Griffin, and Ashliegh Griffin.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, A.G. Colburn, Jr.; and son, Leslie Colburn.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 10900-B Stonelake Blvd., Suite 320, Austin, Texas 78759.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Friday morning prior to the services.
