Celess Annette "Lessy" Hargis

Memorial services for Celess Annette “Lessy” Hargis, of Lufkin will be held Friday, September 13, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Ricky Carrell officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Celess, born October 6, 1948 in Alvin, Texas, was called home to her Lord Jesus Sunday, September 1, 2024 at the age of 75 years old. She passed in her home after struggling with a respiratory illness. She faithfully served God and family for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband of many years, Joe Dan Hargis; parents, Herman Eugene Lollis and Lucy Marie Lollis; brothers, Kenneth Lollis, Kerry Lollis; and sister, Kaylyn Baker.

Survivors include her only child, son, William A. Ellis; sister, Reba Childers; brothers, Robert Reid, John Lollis, James Lollis; sisters-in-law, Sandra Hatchell, Sally Reid, Janet Lollis, and Beatrice Lollis; along with many nieces, nephews, and their children whom she loved dearly.

Lessy’s impact on all of our lives will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
