Cecilia Ann Hooker Johnson

Cecilia Ann Hooker Johnson, 71, of Cold Springs, formerly of Lufkin, Spring, and New Waverly, passed away on April 9, 2019 following a short battle with pancreatic cancer.

Mrs. Johnson was born December 10, 1947 in Lufkin, Texas to Betty Jean (Bridges) and Benjamin Ross Hooker. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Johnson graduated from Lufkin High School. She attended Texas Woman’s University in Denton, graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, and Sam Houston State University in Huntsville. She was a retired educator with Klein ISD in Houston.

Mrs. Johnson enjoyed her retirement, traveling the world and USA, music/concerts, animals, and spending time with her granddaughter, Annabelle, and her sons.

Survivors include her sons, Chris A. Johnson and Chad R. Johnson, both of Cold Springs; granddaughter, Annabelle Johnson; mother, Betty Jean Hooker of Lufkin; sister, Pam Strickland and husband Larry of La Vernia; and numerous other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her father; and husband, Myrl E. Johnson.
