Carrie Marie Hearnsberger

May 19, 1975 — December 2, 2024

A visitation for Carrie Marie Hearnsberger, 49, of Huntington will be held Saturday, December 7, 2024 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Carroway Funeral Home in Lufkin. Cremation arrangements will follow under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Carrie was born May 19, 1975 in Kilgore, Texas to Charlotte Ann (Epps) and Charles Ray Ervin, and died Monday, December 2, 2024 at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.

Carrie resided in Huntington most of her life, working in Sales and Marketing and nurturing a passion for visiting boutiques, both of which were defining aspects of her vibrant personality. Her life was a testament to transformation and faith. Diagnosed with stage 4 neuroendocrine cancer, she embarked on a journey filled with trials, grace, and hope. Early on, fear and sorrow often felt overwhelming, but her story didn’t end there. Over time, Carrie found an unshakable peace in God. This past year, she began reading her Bible daily and fell deeply in love with Jesus, transforming her fear into hope and her sadness into joy. Even in pain, she rejoiced. She loved spending time with her children and her grandson more than anything, and she cherished cooking—especially during Christmas, her favorite time of the year. Carrie also enjoyed camping trips and was rarely without her beloved Dr. Peppers. Above all, her deep and abiding faith in God brought her peace and strength throughout her life. As a member of Denman Avenue Baptist Church, she treasured her time studying scripture, which became a source of immense comfort and joy.

Survivors include her sons, Matthew Hearnsberger and Zachary Hearnsberger, both of Huntington, and Tyler Hearnsberger of Dallas; grandson, Brooks Hearnsberger of Huntington.; father and stepmother, Charles Ray and Marietta Ervin of Kingwood; brother, Mark Ervin of Huntington; uncle and aunt, Larry and Donna Epps of San Augustine; boyfriend, Bobby Hines, and his children, Holly Hines and Hunter Hines, all of Huntington; and numerous other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Charlotte Ann (Epps) Ervin.
