With grateful hearts and faith in God’s promises, we celebrate the life of Carolyn Sue (Wright) Mitchamore, who peacefully entered her eternal home on Sunday, July 12, 2026 at the age of 68.

Carolyn was born February 22, 1958 in Corrigan, Texas to Charlotte Faye (Jeffers) and John William Wright.

A devoted Christian, Carolyn lived her life as a reflection of her faith. She loved the Lord deeply and shared His love through her kindness, compassion, and the gift of music. As a talented songwriter, she used her words to inspire, encourage, and glorify God, leaving behind songs that will continue to touch the hearts of those who hear them.

Family was the center of Carolyn’s life. As the oldest of 17 grandchildren, she naturally embraced the role of leader, encourager, and loving example to those around her. She cherished every moment spent with her family and created countless memories that will be treasured forever.

She was a proud and devoted grandmother to her two beloved grandsons, whom she adored beyond measure. Her love for them was evident in every hug, every prayer, and every moment they shared together.

Carolyn also found joy in God’s beautiful creation. She loved spending time at the beach, feeling the ocean breeze, and fishing-simple pleasures that brought her peace and happiness. Whether surrounded by family or enjoying the quiet beauty of nature, she appreciated the blessings God placed before her.

Above all, Carolyn’s greatest earthly love was her devoted husband, Clarence Mitchamore. Together they shared a beautiful marriage built on love, faith, friendship, and unwavering commitment. Their love story was an inspiration to everyone who knew them.

Though her presence will be deeply missed, her family finds the comfort in knowing she is now in the presence of her Savior, hearing the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant.” Her legacy of faith, love, music, and devotion to family will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

She is lovingly survived by her husband, Clarence Mitchamore; daughter, Melissa Smith and husband Derick; her two cherished grandsons, D.J. Smith and wife Mary, Brandon Smith and wife Abby; mother, Charlotte Faye Wright; sister, Linda Hendry; brother, Johnny Wright; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, John William Wright; and sister, Mary Hoot.

Pallbearers will be Derick Smith, D.J. Smith, Michael Wright, Lance Herchman, Brandon Smith, and Jerry Hoot

Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Wright and Randy Hendry.
