Funeral services for Carolyn Cobb Williams, 81, of Huntington will be held Friday, May 31, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Huntington with Reverend M.H. Shubert officiating. Interment will follow in the Huntington Cemetery.

Mrs. Williams was born January 21, 1938 in Keltys, Texas to the late Helen Beatrice (Sanders) and Ernest Ramsey Cobb, and died Saturday, May 25, 2019 in a local hospital.

Mrs. Williams resided in Huntington most of her life. She retired from Progressive Living Center following 10 years as a Dietician Supervisor. She was known for her home cooking, as being a Godly wife, mother, and grandmother, and a gracious daughter who took care of her mother until her death. Mrs. Williams enjoyed playing the piano and singing gospel music, reading, and fishing. She was a member of New Life United Pentecostal Church.

Survivors include her daughters, Mary Hill of Burke and Shirley Ann Blackburn of Hudson; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; daughter and son by heart, Donna and Charles Blankenship of Huntington; and a number of other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Thomas “J.T”. Williams, Sr.; son, John Thomas “Tommy” Williams, Jr.; and grandson, Thomas Eric Ethridge.

Pallbearers will be Ricky Gilbert, Curtis Crawford, Stevie Ethridge, and Thomas Crawford.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home in Huntington.
