Carolyn Williams Werner

Funeral services for Carolyn Williams Werner, 88, of Lufkin will be held Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Harmony Hill Baptist Church with Dr. John W. Greene, Brother Cleo Hale, and Brother Joe Williams officiating. The family will have a private graveside in Grand Cane, Louisiana.

Mrs. Werner was born August 16, 1934 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late Ethel Grace (Gressett) and Joseph Murray Williams, and died Sunday, December 18, 2022 at her residence.

Mrs. Werner had resided in Lufkin most of her life and taught school at Lufkin ISD for 32 years. She was a member of St. Cyprian’s Episcopal Church.

Survivors include her husband of 63 years, John Werner of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, Pete and Paula Werner of Lufkin; grandchildren,  Rebecca Kay Werner; John Ryan Werner; great-grandchildren, Korbin and Haven; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; and one sister.
