Carolyn Reynolds Welch

Graveside services for Carolyn Reynolds Welch, 84, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, June 14, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. in the Wallace Chapel Cemetery with Bubba Sheffield officiating.

Mrs. Welch was born August 31, 1940 in Pleasanton, Texas to the late Leona J. (Davis) and James Raymond Carnley, and died Monday, June 9, 2025 at her residence. Mrs. Welch was employed at Hudson ISD for 48 years, first as a custodian and later was promoted to the Maintenance Department. Years later she became the Bus Logistics Manager. She also drove a bus for 40 of those 48 years.

Survivors include her children and their spouses, David and Julie Reynolds, John and Heather Reynolds, Mitchell Johnson - “The Chosen One”, Kathy McClure, Mary and Dennis Sellers, Carol and Ray Rodriguez, Johnny Fay and Jeff Dearrick, Rhonda Walker; 20 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; sister, Margaret Glover; brothers, Leo Carnley, Jimmy Carnley; along with numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John C. Welch; two brothers; four sisters; and son-in-law, C.H. McClure.

Honorary pallbearers will be Mawmaw’s grandchildren.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
