Graveside services for Carol Hodges, 73, of Etoile will be held Monday, November 23, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. in the Blue Springs Cemetery in Etoile with Reverend Bill Smith officiating.
Mrs. Hodges was born February 7, 1947 in Kinder, Louisiana to the late Margie and Henry Smith, Sr., and died Thursday, November 19, 2020 in a nursing home in Nacogdoches.
Mrs. Hodges was a beautician and was very gifted with all types of arts and crafts. She was a very talented painter, enjoyed ceramics and sewing. She was very creative and could do anything. Mrs. Hodges was of the Pentecostal faith.
Survivors include her husband, James Hodges of Etoile; daughters and sons-in-law, Cassandra and Steve Campbell of Anaheim, California, Christina and Dean Lusty of Dayton; grandchildren, Savannah Graves and husband James, Hannah Smith, Scott Lusty and wife Katie, all of Baytown, James “Tyler” Lusty, of Dayton; great-grandchildren, Lily Graves, Lauren Graves, Luke Lusty, all of Baytown; sister and brother-in-law, Brenda and Edward Fruge of Kinder, Louisiana; brothers and sisters-in-law, Henry “Bill” Smith, Jr. and Genevieve of Kinder, Louisiana, Jerry and Emmy Smith of Plentywood, Montana, Roger and Pat Smith of Nacogdoches; sister and brother-in-law, Tammy and Curt Franklin of Metairie, Louisiana; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Pierre Smith; and in-laws, Vernon and Fern Hodges.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. Monday afternoon prior to the service.
