Carl Anthony Herrington was born to Glenn and Glenda (Eaton) Herrington November 19, 1959 in Lufkin, Texas, and passed away Saturday, September 12, 2026 in Huntington, Texas.

He was known to everyone simply as Andy or Pawman to family and friends, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, hard work, and unforgettable conversations. Andy was a man that truly loved life in general, approaching every day with a joyful spirit and a ready smile.

In his younger years he spent time driving an 18-wheeler for R Modisette and Sons, Kenny Co Logging, and eventually to working as a heavy duty diesel mechanic for Kenny’s Truck & Equipment before venturing out on his own with Herrington’s Truck Service. Andy was a highly skilled mobile mechanic and he built a business around helping others. If a truck driver broke down, he was the one to come right to them getting the 18-wheelers rolling in no time! He took great pride in his independence and trade, turning every service call into an opportunity to connect, swap stories, and make a new friend!

When he wasn’t out on the road working on big rigs, he was happiest by the water. He deeply loved fishing, camping, spending time with friends and family at the lake, finding great happiness in the great outdoors. To Andy no one was a stranger for long, he cherished visiting the people he loved, and he possessed the rare ability to carry on conversations for hours! Above all, Andy loved making people laugh. His sharp wit, quick humor, and bright energy could lift anyone’s spirits, and his jokes will fondly be remembered by all who knew him!

The last few months he found his final true love of his life Sarah. They had so many plans to travel the world together! She made him the happiest person in the world living life together making memories, going to parties for kids and grandkids together, going to the races to watch the kids race, fishing, taking road trips and just enjoying each other’s company! She was truly and deeply loved by Andy!
