Cameron Hayes Sanders

Funeral services for Cameron Hayes Sanders, 17 months, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Wade Bryan officiating. Interment will follow in the Whitehouse Cemetery.

Cameron was born June 3, 2017 in Anchorage, Alaska to Angelina (Ancira) and Cody Sanders, and died Saturday, November 17, 2018 in a local hospital.

Not one person can put in words to the loss, guilt, or emptiness we all feel. Cameron Hayes was a very rambunctious 17-month-old, full of warmth, spunk and love. His smile was completely contagious, and his vindictive half smirk was a staple of his personality. It was adorable but questionable. He always loved being around people, mostly for your soda or snacks. But he was considerate enough to sucker you in with a hug or a smile. Cameron, our sweet angel, you will always and forever be loved, and not ever forgotten.

Survivors include his mother and father, Angelina and Cody Sanders of Lufkin; brother, Tyler Sanders of Lufkin; sister, Faith Sanders of Lufkin; paternal grandparents, David and Renea Sanders of Center; maternal grandparents, Samuel and Mary Ancira of Lufkin; paternal grandmother, Kim Norton of Lufkin; aunt, Samantha and husband Sean Halek of Lufkin; uncle, Daniel Ancira and wife Grace of Lufkin; aunts, Emma Ancira and Caycee Carrell, both of Lufkin; aunt, Kim Sanders and husband David of McKinney; aunt, Lacey Sanders and husband Brandon of Tyler; aunt, Jamie Barbee and husband Adam of Center; aunt, Kristy Barbee of Houston; uncle, Chris Carrell of Lumberton, North Carolina;  uncle, Tyler Heyenga and wife Andrea, and Darrius Bennett, all of Anchorage, Alaska; aunt, Tish Gallegos and husband Kevin of Fort Sill, Oklahoma; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Sean Halek, Hever Arambula, Samuel Ancira and David Sanders.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
