Byron Dale Nash

Funeral services for Byron Dale Nash, 68, of Lufkin will be held Thursday, July 2, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Huntington. Interment will follow in Rocky Springs/Old Center Cemetery.

Mr. Nash was born January 21, 1958 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Barbara Sue (Nerren) and Fred Nash, and died Saturday, June 27, 2026 in a local hospice facility.

Dale worked in the logging business and was self-employed for 25 years. He was a hard worker and will be missed by all who knew him. Dale was a motorcycle enthusiast and lived to ride. He loved outdoor activities, especially boating, fishing, and camping. He always showed up when called upon to help.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Jakob and Morgan Nash; grandchildren, Kambria Nash, Riley Nash, Tryston McGree, Faber McGee, Sofia McGee; sister and brother-in-law, Susan and Grady Lee; brother, Larry Nash; nephews, Zachary Lee, Keith Nash and wife Elisha; longtime friend and companion, Christi Hill; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; nephew, Michael Nash; and Buster, who was the family dog and his best friend.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home in Huntington.
