Burnis Brenda Blickem, 78, of Lufkin died Saturday, June 20, 2026 in a local hospital. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home. Memorial services will be held Monday, July 13, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel.

Mrs. Blickem was born October 23, 1947 in Cowden, Illinois to the late Lovetta June (Beasley) and Virgil Brent Black.

Survivors include her husband, Raleigh Gene Blickem; daughter, Shannon Farmer; son, Christopher Blickem; grandchildren and spouses, Dallas and Shelbie Jacks, Felicia and Bobby Richardson, Dacie Farmer, and Daylin Jacks; great-grandchildren, Torryn Richardson, Tyanna Richardson, Teagan Richardson, Taleah Richardson, Jayden Molina, Levi Waggoner; Marcus Davis III, Karson Jacks, Bexlee Goodwin, and Brextyne Goodwin; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Gladys Ray; and Brother, Burl Black.
