Bryan Daniel Holley

July 30, 1966 — August 18, 2023

Funeral services to honor Bryan Daniel Holley, 57, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, August 26, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Timber Creek Church with Kent Henson and Brother Richard Owen officiating. Following the services there will be a procession to Bonner Elementary School for a 21 Gun Salute. The procession will then travel through all other Hudson ISD campuses and end at Carroway Funeral Home. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Bryan was born July 30, 1966 in Lufkin, Texas to the late James A. and Stella Mae (Craig) Holley, and passed away Friday, August 18, 2023 in Lufkin. He was raised in the Fuller Springs area and attended Lufkin High School from 1980-1984.

Bryan was in the Law Enforcement Profession for 31 years, including Patrol, Narcotics, Criminal Interdict, K-9 Handler, S.W.A.T, TDCJ, International Police, and Chief of International Patrol. In 2013 Bryan left the Sheriff’s Office as a Lieutenant Patrol Deputy and began working for the Hudson ISD Police Department, where he was currently employed for the past 10 years.

It's no secret that Bryan loved his job, but what others didn’t see was the love he had for his family. To his family he was more than a Police Officer. Bryan was a husband, dad, paw, brother, uncle, cousin, and a friend. With that being said, he loved annoying his wife, aggravating his kids, teasing his grandkids, joking with his friends, and just being his goofy self with everyone he knew and met. Needless to say, he could never stay serious. Bryan always had to be laughing as well as making others laugh.

Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Tammy (Innerarity) Holley of Lufkin; daughters and sons-in-law, Cytera and Royce Fritz, Keslie Reece, and Austin and Kenzy Holley Christmas, all of Lufkin; son, Bryson Holley of Lufkin; grandchildren, Haydn Fritz, Maverick Fritz, and IvieGrace Reece; brother and sister-in-law, David and Connie Holley of Lufkin; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives; and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Richard and Patrick Holley.

Pallbearers will be members of the Officer Honor Guard: Michael Paul Daniels, Charles Lawrence, Jimmy Casper, Ricky Conner, Barry Saucier, and Rusty Pitts.

Donations may be made to Tammy Holley at any Commercial Bank of Texas or through PayPal.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at Timber Creek Church. The family wishes to have casual attire for the funeral services.

The services will be livestreamed and can be viewed on the Timber Creek Lufkin Facebook page.
