Funeral services for Bruce Lamar “Lightning” Lightfoot, Sr., 80, of Lufkin will be held Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Jeff Arriola officiating. Interment will follow in the Berry Cemetery.
Mr. Lightfoot was born August 24, 1938 in the Swift Community of Nacogdoches County, Texas to the late Ida Mae (Dennis) and Chester B. Lightfoot, and died Saturday, October 13, 2018 in a local hospital.
Mr. Lightfoot was a truck driver for several years and a Heavy Equipment Operator for Southland Papermill for more than 35 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching westerns. He took pleasure in drinking his coffee and he could fix anything. Mr. Lightfoot was of the Church of Christ faith.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Rosemary Lightfoot of Lufkin; son, Bruce Lamar Lightfoot, Jr. of Conroe; daughters, Roseanne Arriola and husband Jeff of Lufkin and Linda Lovett and husband Lynn of Hudson; grandchildren, Jennifer Kendrick and husband Brandon of Seadrift, Jeffrey Arriola of Lufkin, Amanda Lovett of Midland, Haley Lovett and Greggory Lovett, both of Hudson, and Maci Lightfoot of Lufkin; great-grandchildren, Kaleb Kendrick and Kolton Kendrick, both of Seadrift; sisters-in-law, Ellen Lightfoot of Lufkin and Nelda Lightfoot of Trinity; special friends, Carl and Sharon Fuller of Lufkin; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Leo Lightfoot, Joe Lightfoot, and O’Neal Lightfoot.
Pallbearers will be Carl Fuller, Greggory Lovett, Chase Arriola, Steve Lightfoot, Lynn Lovett, and Jeffrey Arriola.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.
