Brent Tarver

Funeral services for Brent Tarver, 46, of Lufkin will be held Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Dr. Charles Williams officiating. Interment will follow in the Rocky Springs/Old Center Cemetery.

Mr. Tarver was born July 16, 1975 in Lufkin, Texas to Evelyn Sue (Morton) and Jerry Eugene Tarver, and died Thursday, March 24, 2022 in Lufkin from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Brent worked in the logging business for various companies. He loved riding four wheelers and going mudding. He was always tinkering on his truck and all sorts of gadgets. He loved being around people, just spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include his father and stepmother, Jerry and Margie Tarver of Lufkin; brothers, Curtis Tarver and wife Sheri, Doyle Tarver and wife Tisha, all of Lufkin; sister-in-law, Lyndia Tarver of Alto; uncles, Ray Tarver and wife Nikki of San Augustine, Lyndale Tarver of Chireno; aunts, Janie Sowell and husband James, Janice Bryan and husband Gaylon, all of San Augustine; nieces and nephews, Latisha Tarver, Lee Tarver, Acelynn Tarver, Doyle Wayne  Tarver, Jr., Cody Craig, Hunter Dwayne Tarver, Samantha Tarver, C.J. Tarver, Casey Tarver; his faithful Jack Russell Terrier, Jack Tarver; and numerous other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Evelyn Sue Tarver; brother, Robert Tarver; and grandparents, Tom and Mary Tarver and Arthur and Marie Morton.

Pallbearers will be Benji Moore, Patrick Buster, Matt Tarver, T.J. Tarver, Tom Tarver, and Josh Tarver.

Honorary pallbearers will be Chip Kelley and Robert Faulk.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.
