Memorial services for Brenda Lorene Nolan, 83, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, April 6, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Cornerstone United Pentecostal Church with Pastor John Boone and Pastor Mike Wedgeworth officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.
Mrs. Nolan was born October 19, 1940 in Galveston, Texas to the late Vivian Naomi (Sills) and Howard James Pate, and died Tuesday, March 19, 2024 in a local hospital.
A legacy of love and prayer.
Ask anyone who knew Brenda Nolan and they will tell you she was a sweet, wonderful, gentle and loving person. Those that knew her in a deeper way also knew that she was a powerful woman of prayer. Her prayers are continuing to impact generations after her in the life of her son and her daughter-in-law, her grandchildren and her soon to be great-grandchild.
Brenda's life was a testament of love - love for God, love for family and love for friends.
Survivors include her husband, James Nolan of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, Paul James and Crystal Nolan of Lufkin; daughter, Kathy Davis of Winnie; daughter-in-law, San Juana Estep of Texas City; grandchildren, Jonathan Nolan, Keagan Nolan, both of Lufkin, Anthony Estep and Brittany Estep, both of Texas City; brother-in-law, John Finnegan of Pasadena; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Sam Estep; sisters, Rebecca “Becky” Eve and Carol Finnegan; and brother, Howard James Pate, Jr.
