Brenda A. Jacob

Brenda A. Jacob, 86, of Zavalla died Thursday, September 10, 2026, at her Texas Airstream Harbor residence. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Mrs. Jacob was born March 12, 1940, in Battle Creek, Michigan to the late Margaret (Bibbings) and Richard Edmonds. She worked in military procurement for the U.S. Government for more than 20 years. She enjoyed Airstream travel with her husband.

Survivors include her husband, John Jacob of Zavalla; sons, John Vast-Binder and wife Sheala of McKinney, Gregory Vastbinder and wife Jessi of Texas City, and Scott Vastbinder of Bellevue, Michigan; nine grandchildren; and brother, Richard Edmonds and wife Carole of Cary, North Carolina.

She was preceded in death by her parents and first husband, John Vastbinder.
