Bobby Lynn Ward

Funeral services for Bobby Lynn Ward, 73, of Diboll will be held Saturday, November 22, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jordan Collard officiating. Private interment will follow at Bennett Cemetery in Apple Springs.

Mr. Ward was born March 19, 1952 in Nacogdoches, Texas to the late Barbara (Bentley) and Edgar Ward, and died Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at his residence.

Mr. Ward was a long-time resident of Diboll and retired from Lufkin Industries-Oilfield Division following 43 years of employment. He coached Girls Little League Softball for several years in the community. After retiring he and family and friends RVed across the United States. He loved spending time with family and friends on those trips. Mr. Ward also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing dominoes. He attended Freedom Church in Lufkin where he served on the security team. He took youth groups on mission trips to Mexico for Lakeview Baptist Church. Mr. Ward had a great love for his church and friends where he worshipped God.

Bobby was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

Survivors include his beloved spouse of 51 years, Sandra (Kee) Ward; beloved daughter, Melanie Ward of Huntsville; brother, David Ward and wife Ethel of Diboll; sister, Jeannette Brewer of Diboll; mother-in-law, Betty Kee of Diboll; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Barbara Ward of Diboll; brothers, Robert Ward of Diboll, Willie Ward of Corrigan, Carleton Ward of Diboll, and Roger Ward of Huntington; sister, Delois Ward of Diboll; and brother-in-law, Ben Brewer of Diboll.

Pallbearers will be Andrew Kee, Chasen Kee, BJ Brewer, Daniel Kee, Luke Kee, and Jason Goodman.

Honorary pallbearer will be Ricky Ward.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Saturday morning prior to the services.
