Bobby Allen Dennis

Funeral services with military honors for Bobby Allen Dennis, 81, of Lufkin will be held Monday, November 17, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Van Johnson and Pastor Jerry Dixon officiating. Interment will follow in Whitehouse Cemetery.

Mr. Dennis was born July 15, 1944 in Corpus Christi, Texas to the late Pearl Haak and Herbert Leondard Dennis, and died Thursday, November 13, 2025 at his residence.

Bobby lived in Lufkin most of his life. He was a truck driver for Brookshire Brothers for twenty years and a bus mechanic for Central ISD and Lufkin ISD. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He loved spending time with his family and his fur babies. Bobby was a member of Southside Baptist Church.

Survivors include his sons, Jason Dennis and wife Ashley of Conroe, Keith Dennis of Lufkin; daughter, Shanna Carriere and husband Josh of Lufkin; grandchildren, Brandon Carriere and wife Kate, Mason Dennis and wife Thalia, Dylan Huppe, Logan Dennis, Bre’Anna Dennis, Alyssa Dennis, Kaylin Carriere, Courtney Dusek, Cameron Dusek; brothers, John Haak and wife Alicia of Joaquin, Martin Haak and wife Lovie of Lufkin; sisters, Mary Lunsford and Debbie Haak, both of Pollok; his beloved fur baby, Mollie; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 29 years, Wanda Dennis; daughter, Misty Dennis; and brother-in-law, Larry Lunsford.

Pallbearers will be Dylan Huppe, Mason Dennis, Logan Dennis, Brandon Carriere, Cameron Dusek, and Keith Dennis.

Honorary pallbearers will be Asher Huppe and Laken Huppe.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home.
