Bobbie J. Seymore

Funeral services for Bobbie J. Seymore, 82, of Tyler will be held Thursday, April 13, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Eastview United Pentecostal Church with Pastor David Hunt officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Mrs. Seymore was born July 6, 1934 in Wells, Texas to the late Ruth (Hammond) and Ernest Smith, and died Sunday, April 9, 2017 at her residence.

Mrs. Seymore resided in Wells most of her life and had served as Municipal Judge and City Secretary for the City of Wells. She was a loving wife, mother, and Maw Maw, and was a wonderful cook. Mrs. Seymore was a member of Eastview United Pentecostal Church.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, James Michael “Mike” Seymore and Brenda Havard of Hudson and David Wayne and Rebecca Seymore of Wells; daughter and son-in-law, LeAnne and Michael Casey of Oregon House, California; grandchildren and spouses, David and Katie Seymore, Jr., Brent and Korey Seymore, Dylan Seymore, Megan Seymore, Cory and Jessica Smith, Lisa and Jon Cannon, Brian and Haley Seymore, Misti and Lynn Statham, Jima and Richard Hill, Jami and Henry Nerren; 19 great-grandchildren; sisters and brother-in-law, Frankie Arnold of Tyler, Carolyn and H.C. Jacobs of Wells, and Judy White of Katy; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James R. “Juicy” Seymore; son, Stevie Seymore; and daughter, Lisa Rae Seymore.

Pallbearers will be David Seymore, Jr., Brent Seymore, Cory Smith, Brian Seymore, Ronnie Arnold, Keith White, and Dylan Seymore.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Eastview United Pentecostal Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 375, Lufkin, Texas 75902.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at Carroway Funeral Home.
