Bo Waller

Graveside services for Granville Dennis “Bo” Waller, 71, of Lufkin will be held Tuesday, January 27, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Berry Cemetery with Brother Bobby Whisenant officiating.

Bo was born July 29, 1954 in Lufkin, Texas to Helen Maurice (McCoy) and Granville David Waller, and died Tuesday, January 20, 2026 in a Longview hospital.

Bo was a lifetime resident of Lufkin and graduated from Lufkin High School, Class of 1973. He graduated from Lamar University and for the next 50 plus years worked as a diesel mechanic, truck driver, and heavy equipment operator. He retired from TxDot following 21 years of employment.

Bo was a hard worker and a great handyman - he could fix anything with duct tape and bailing wire. He loved Moffett and was a man of faith. Bo had a great sense of humor and enjoyed joking around with friends and family. He loved eating cold Wolf Brand Chili, straight from the can.

Survivors include his wife, Marcia (Saunders) Waller of Lufkin; sons, Josh Waller and wife Leigh of Bullard and Jacob Waller and wife Jennie of Chino, California; daughters, Jade Waller-Henson and husband Clayton of Huntington, Arkansas and Jennifer Waller of New Orleans, Louisiana; stepdaughter, Carrie Johnson and husband Chris of Huntington, Texas; stepson, Cody Cox and wife Rachel of Wimberley; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; mother, Helen Roming of Moffett; siblings, Rick Waller, Becky Childress and husband David, Gary Waller and wife Sharon, and Janet Boulware and husband Shane, all of Lufkin; mother-in-law, Katherine “Granny” Saunders of Lufkin; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Granville David Waller.

Honorary pallbearers will be his grandsons, great-grandson, and nephews.

Special heartfelt thanks to Brent Martin and Kolby Buckner for the loving care they gave Bo.
