Billy Reed Sandel

Graveside services with military honors for Billy Reed Sandel, 85, of Zavalla will be held Thursday, June 11, 2026 at 1:15 p.m. in the Houston National Cemetery.

Mr. Sandel was born May 13, 1941 in Madisonville, Texas to the late Laurel Katherine (Wolfe) and Robert Eugene Sandel, and died Saturday, May 30, 2026 in a local hospital.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Tracy and Mike Posey; son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Alli Sandel; grandchildren and spouses, Kayla and Mario Salazar, Hayden and Kennedy Posey, Hannah Wiggins, Hailey Sandel; great-grandchildren, Rafael, Nico, Noah, Brianna; sisters, Linda Kelso, Kathy Sandel; brother, Paul Sandel; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Michael Sandel and Bobby Sandel; and wife and mother of his children, Linda (Descant) Sandel.
