Billy Gene Mccarty

Funeral services for Billy Gene McCarty, 73, of Lufkin will be held Friday, May 28, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Berry Cemetery.

Mr. McCarty was born October 27, 1947 in Dallas, Texas, and died Sunday, May 23, 2021 at his residence.

Mr. McCarty worked in the Trucking Department at Sears. He enjoyed hunting and was very talented at making beautiful knives.

Survivors include his sons, Ronald Wayne McCarty and wife Patricia, Sean McCarty, all of Dallas; grandsons, Bryce McCarty of Lindale and Tyler McCarty of Dallas; and numerous other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Sammy McCarty.

Pallbearers will be his family.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Friday afternoon prior to the service.
