Beulah Mae Hendry

Funeral services for Beulah Mae Hendry, 93, of Lufkin will be held Friday, August 21, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Jordan Riley officiating. Interment will follow in Wallace Chapel Cemetery.

Mrs. Hendry was born November 17, 1932 in Polk County, Texas to the late Molly (Hopson) Kenner and William T. Kenner, and died Monday, August 17, 2026 in Lufkin, Texas.

Mrs. Hendry was born and raised in Polk County, Texas and was a Livingston High School graduate. She resided in Angelina County, Texas most of her life. She was a homemaker and an outstanding cook. She loved to cook for her family and for many years, Sunday dinner after church was a family tradition. If you were at her house at mealtime, you were invited to sit at her table and most likely the meal would include peas that she had shelled from the garden. She loved the Lord and was faithful to serve Him, having served at Wallace Chapel Baptist Church however she was needed. She taught children’s Sunday School and served over 40 years as church treasurer.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Mike Gipson of Hudson; son, Boyd Hendry of Hudson; grandsons, Ross Gipson and wife Ashlee, Will Hendry, Isaac Hendry; along with a number of other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Boyce Hendry; sister, Helen Agostini; brothers, Joe Kenner, Jeff Kenner, Billy Kenner; and daughter-in-law, Jana Hendry.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
