Betty Gayle Kyle

Betty Gayle Kyle, 78, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, February 21, 2022.

Memorial services will be held Sunday, February 27, 2022 at 3:30 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Lufkin, Texas, with a visitation to follow until 5:30 p.m.  On a later date, she will be buried at Beulah Cemetery in Mansfield, LA.

Betty worked at Temple Inland in the Forestry Division for over a decade and then later went back to school to get her CNA certification. With that, she became a caregiver for the elderly in her community.

She was an avid church goer and was a Sunday School teacher as well. She loved gardening and being outdoors. Most days you could find her working in the yard or playing outside with her grandchildren. She would go fishing and swimming on hot summer days and she played in the Lufkin Women’s Softball League. What brought her the most joy was spending time with her friends and family, whether it was at a family reunion, at church, or just a weekend visit.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rufus and Aline Marshall, Sr. and Fred and Marguerite Robinson; brothers, Ray Marshall, Rufus Franklin Marshall, Rufus Wayne Marshall, Thomas Ray Parker, and Troy Parker; sisters, Joyce Stovall, Ann Shelton, and Brenda Smith; husband, Byron Jesse Kyle, Jr.; children, Melinda Gayle Kyle, Glenda Gayle Kyle, and Bryon Wayne Kyle.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Teresa Kyle of Lufkin, Texas; her brother, Solace “Gene” and Iva Marshall of Keithville, LA; sisters, Debbie and CW Mitchell of Mansfield, LA, Linda and Brad Rachal of Keithville, LA; sisters-in-law, Sharon Marshall of Pineville, LA, Mary Jane “Janey” Marshall of Mansfield, LA; three grandchildren, Jonathan and Lynette Banks, Mary and Noah Gray, Kimberly Hanson; three great- grandchildren, Liam Banks, Abigail Gray, Nathan Gray; and many other family members and friends.
