Services for Betty Jay Holland, 77, of Huntington, will be held Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. in the Cemetery Pavilion at Rocky Springs/Old Center Cemetery with Pastor Ken Donaghue officiating.
Ms. Holland was born August 29, 1942 in Nacogdoches, Texas, the daughter of the late Martha Estelle (Pitts) and Garland Dentist Morton. She died Saturday, May 30, 2020 in a Lufkin hospice facility.
Ms. Holland was a retired newsprint manager for American Color Graphics following 33 years of service. She was a member of Little Flock Baptist Church. Ms. Holland enjoyed working in her yard and spending time with family and friends. She had resided in Huntington for 53 years and previously lived in Lufkin for 17 years.
Survivors include her son, Joe Don Holland, Jr., of Huntington; daughters and sons-in-law, Lynn and Greg Randolph of Etoile, Donna and Scott Ross of Lufkin; grandchildren, Rachel Westbrook and husband Jeremy, Buddy Hutto, Loren Holland, Sydney Ross, and Bailey Ross; great grandchildren, Case, Cassidy, Fenley Jay, and Jodie; nephews, Clint, Lowell, Kyle, and Nathaniel; as well as numerous other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Cody Holland; and sister, Janice Burkett.
Pallbearers will be Scott Ross, Buddy Hutto, Jeremy Westbrook, Greg Randolph, Larry Collier and Lowell Daniel.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice in the Pines, 1504 W. Frank Avenue, Lufkin, Texas 75904.
The family will receive friends and loved ones from 9:30 to 10:00 a.m. Tuesday morning at the cemetery prior to the service.
