Graveside services for Betty Lou Dykes Capps, 80, of Diboll will be held Saturday, November 1, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park with Brother Baldemar Gaitan officiating.
Ms. Capps was born February 9, 1945 in Diboll, Texas to the late Mary Alberta (James) and Russell Lee Dykes, and died Monday, October 27, 2025 at her residence.
Betty was a lifelong resident of Diboll and was the Court Clerk for the City of Diboll for over 20 years. Betty loved God above all else and had an unshakable faith in Him. She knew she was going to Heaven and wasn’t afraid to let others know, joyfully anticipating the day she would spend eternity with Jesus. Her memorable laugh made everyone around her feel loved, and her kindness, sweetness, and sense of humor will be deeply missed. Betty was an avid Houston Astros fan and an even bigger George Strait fan. She enjoyed the beach, her caramel frappuccinos, and all things Texas.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Kym Capps; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and J.P.
