Funeral services for Bennie Rice Reinhardt will be held Friday, May 22, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. in the First Baptist Church Corrigan with Brother William “Peanut” Glass officiating. Order of the Eastern Star rites will be recited by the Corrigan Chapter #631 which is now affiliated with the Groveton Chapter #1035. Interment will follow in the Stryker Cemetery.

Bennie Rice Reinhardt, 92 of Corrigan, passed away peacefully at her home in the Stryker community of Corrigan, Texas on Saturday, May 16, 2026.

Bennie was born in Berring, a small community in Moscow, Texas on February 10, 1934 to the late Vida Foster Rice and Jesse E. Rice. She was the 7th of 8 children. She moved to Corrigan when she was in the 10th grade. She graduated from Corrigan High School in 1951. After high school she went to Piney Woods Business College in Lufkin and graduated in bookkeeping.

Bennie worked and owned Reinhardt Auto Parts in Corrigan with her husband Cloyce Reinhardt for over 50 years. She was a member of the Stryker Baptist Church and the Corrigan Eastern Star #631 which is now affiliated with the Groveton Chapter #1035.

She is at peace and reunited with the love of her life Cloyce. There was no one that she loved more than the Lord and her family…especially her great-grandchildren. They were the light of her world.

Bennie is survived by her sister, Mozelle Hardin of Haughton, Louisiana; son and daughter-in-law, Randall and Lisa Reinhardt of Kingsland, Texas; daughter, Deanna Reed of Corrigan, Texas; grandchildren, Ethan and wife Stephanie Reinhardt of Spring, Texas, Hailey Reinhardt of Hockley, Texas, James and wife Kellie Reed of Kingwood, Texas, and Elizabeth Reed and Husband Francisco Gonzales of Houston, Texas; and great-grandchildren, Carson, Cooper, Margaret (Maggie) Reinhardt and Jackson Reed.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Vida and Jesse Rice; husband, James Cloyce Reinhardt; daughter, Susan Reinhardt; son-in-law, David Reed; and sisters and brothers, Mabel Frankins, Hazel Barlow, Willis Clayton Rice, Jesse Doyle Rice, Orlin Rice, and Billy Rice.

Pallbearers will be Milt Purvis, Billy Sam Locke, Keith Bullock, Mark Bullock, Heath Evans, and Daniel Pitre.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Charlie Jay Locke, James Kosina, George Murphy, and Paco Martinez.

Memorial contributions may be made to Stryker Baptist Church, 4865 FM 352, Corrigan, Texas 75939 or Stryker Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 41, Corrigan, Texas 75939.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the church.
