Bennie F. Thigpen Fowler

Funeral services for Bennie F. Thigpen Fowler, 66, of Pollok will be held Monday, April 12, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother John Williams officiating. Interment will follow in the Gann Cemetery.

Bennie was born September 8, 1954 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Wallace Thigpen and Virginia Pearson Thigpen, and died Friday, April 9, 2021 surrounded by loved ones at her residence.

Bennie retired after 30 years of employment with Walmart. She enjoyed gardening, working in her yard with her flowers, and fishing. But more than anything, she loved her family and her friends.

Survivors include her loving husband of 49 years, Kent Fowler of Pollok; son and daughter-in-law, Cody and Elizabeth Fowler of Lufkin; daughter, Kim Fowler of Pollok; grandchildren, Jacob Hopper and wife Katie of Diboll, Madison Brown and husband Anthony of Lufkin; great-grandchildren, Keegan, Kennedy, Kollins, and Roman; sister, Judy Nallie of Pollok; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jerry and Kathy Thigpen of Woodville, Larry and Nita Thigpen of Pollok; sister-in-law, Linda Thigpen of Pollok; special cousins, George Angelo of Beaumont and Jana Thompson of Pollok; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Carolyn Nallie; brother, Robert Thigpen; and mother-in-law and father-in-law, W.C. and Nell Fowler.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Thigpen, Billy Kujala, Zachary Kujala, Brian Thigpen, Josh Williams, and Joe Williams.

Honorary pallbearers will be Roho Pouland, Charlie Grumbles, and George Angelo.

The family would like to thank Affinity Hospice and staff and a special thank you to Russell Barney and Amanda Ford for their love and care.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home.
