Barbara (Vardeman) Perkins

Graveside services for Barbara (Vardeman) Perkins, 83, of Huntington will be held Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Huntington Cemetery with Pastor Kirby Vardeman officiating.

Mrs. Perkins was born October 22, 1940 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Lillie (Jordan) and Kirby Vardeman, and died Saturday, December 9, 2023 at her residence.

Mrs. Perkins loved sewing and crafting, shopping, and visiting people. She was a member of Ozias Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Johnnie and Gena Perkins, and Rory and Dena Perkins; daughter and son-in-law, Beverly and Larry Collins; grandchildren and spouses, Starla and Nathan McKay, Jason and Sue Ann Perkins, Wesley and Tessa McNeely, Kayleen and Randy Laird, Dustin Golden, Caleb and Alyssa Collins, Blake and Kayla Collins, Marshall Fredieu, Alyssa and Kyle Tant, Karly and Nate Weaver, and Jordan and Jamie Perkins; 15 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; sister, Nelda Havard; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Perkins; and three brothers.

Pallbearers will be Caleb Collins, Wesley McNeely, Jason Perkins, Jordan Perkins, Dustin Golden, and Stephen Cupples.

Honorary pallbearers will be Blake Collins, Marshall Fredieu, Jonathan Durham, Jeremy Durham, and Lloyd Ray Durham.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at Carroway Funeral Home in Huntington.
