Barbara Ann Peppard, of Huntington went to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, April 11, 2018. Barbara was born in Houston, Texas on December 8, 1937 to the late Marvin and Stella Parham.
Visitation will be Sunday, April 15, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. prior to the funeral at 2:00 p.m. at Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Huntington. Burial will follow at Sims (Rocky Hill) Cemetery. Brother Danny Butler and Brother Lamar Denby will conduct the funeral together.
Barbara rather marched to a different drummer and led a very busy life. She enjoyed working as a secretary and running businesses with her husband. She worked for Lufkin Foundry and Machine Company, Coastal Transmission Corporation, and Austral Oil Company. She loved her “Little Store”, Lufkin Gate and Ranch Supply. With her husband, they owned and managed Rocking JP Ranch in Huntington and Gulf Coast Truck Trailer Sales in Houston. They worked together very well. They were married February 7, 1959.
Barbara is survived by her loving son, Joseph J. Peppard, Jr. and wife Cintya; two baby grandchildren, Carlos Peppard (3-1/2) and Jack Peppard (18 months); grandsons, Jennings Sanders (18) and Turner Sanders (12); and son-in-law, Roger Sanders.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Monette Ann Sanders; and husband, Joseph Jennings Peppard, Sr. She wishes no pallbearers, as most of her friends are dead.
Barbara is also survived by three loyal and trusted friends, Cheryl Teutsch, Jean Driver, and cousin, Nancy Sue Parsley.
Barbara was a member of Highway Baptist Church and wishes any donations to go there at 212 S. Main Street, Huntington, Texas 75949.
