Barbara Gayle Charanza

Memorial services for Barbara Gayle Charanza, 66, of Huntington will be held Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Lufkin with Brother Greg Denman officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Mrs. Charanza was born October 8, 1951 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Reba (Denman) and Aaron Clark, and died Wednesday, October 18, 2017 in a local hospital.

Mrs. Charanza was a lifetime resident of Huntington and attended Massey Business College. She worked for Duran Pools and Spas for 22 years. Mrs. Charanza loved playing Bingo and was known to play wherever there was a game. She lived for her family and enjoyed watching her grandchildren play sports. Mrs. Charanza was a member of Salem Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Joe Charanza of Huntington; daughter and son-in-law, Jill and Donald Young of Huntington; grandchildren, Jordan Young and wife Ashley of Hudson, Tiffany Young and Luke Young, both of Huntington; great-grandchildren, Kayla Summers, Dakota Summers, Kady Joe Summers, and Ellie Young, all of Hudson; sisters, Genee Boykin and husband Charles of Virginia and Kathy Comunale and husband Bob of Willis; brothers, Frank Clark and wife Eleana of Lufkin and George Weaver and wife Lynn of Rockdale; and a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
