Graveside services for Barbara “MawMaw” Camp, 76, of Diboll will be held Friday, February 27, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Ryan Chapel Cemetery with Brother Mike Waters officiating.

Mrs. Camp was born July 13, 1949 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Mary Lurline (Pound) and William Edward Childers, and died Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at her residence.

Mrs. Camp was the owner and operator of Kiddie Korral Day Care Center for 25 years, in Diboll. She was affectionately known as “MawMaw” to countless children in Angelina County who attended Kiddie Korral. Mrs. Camp loved spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids. She was an avid reader, with a specific love for books written by John Grisham. When she wasn’t attending her son’s concerts over the years, or sporting events involving her granddaughters and grandsons, she enjoyed working in her yard and tending to her many beautiful plants and flowers.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Christel Wells of Willis; stepson and daughter-in-law, Warner and Amanda Camp of Corrigan; grandchildren and spouses, Jason and LeeAnne Camp, Meagan and James Ritter, Walker Camp, Presley Wells, and Kennedy Wells; great-grandchildren, Garrett Camp, Raylan Camp, Cason Camp, Leland Campbell, Levi Campbell, Payton Campbell, Elle Campbell, Flo Campbell, and Kelsie Camp; best friend, Bessie Furgurson; best friend/niece, Bobbie O’Neill; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 31 years, Ernest “Tooter” Camp; brother and sister-in-law, Junior and Doyce Childers; sisters and brothers-in-law, Cozetta and Bob Watson, Virginia Nell and Robert Earl Myers, and Ozema Childers; and special friends, Sherrell “Pa” and Peggy “Ma” Fears, and Helen Russell.

Honorary pallbearers will be Chad Mitchell, Mike Fridel, Doug Waters, Cody Stifle, Jacob Stifle, Ryan Rasberry, Chase Johnson, Linkin Frankens, Brady Frankens, Richard Warner, Rich Warner, Roho Pouland, Big Bo Smith, Li’l Bo Smith, Jeff Stifle, and Tim Frankens.
