Axton Anson Richardson

Funeral services for Axton Anson Richardson, age 2, of Huntington will be held Monday, May 6, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Harmony Hill Baptist Church with Brother Jerry Perritte and Dr. John W. Greene officiating. Interment will follow in the Shofner Cemetery.

Axton was born March 8, 2017 in Lufkin, Texas, and gained his angel wings Thursday, May 2, 2019.

Axton lived in Huntington with his family. The term “all boy” is an understatement to describe this precious child. His love of the outdoors ran deep just like his dad. If you could pry Axton off of his mama’s hip you would find him pushing a tractor in the mud filling up his rubber boots.

This angel would follow in his dad’s footsteps everywhere he went and he loved driving that flat bottomed boat at the lake when he wasn’t playing in the minnow bucket. He loved to aggravate his big sister Braylee, whom he called “bubba”, but he deeply loved her.

Survivors include his parents, Tanner and Lexi (Foyil) Richardson; sister, Braylee Richardson; grandparents, Mike and Casie Richardson, Jason and Heather Warner, Todd Foyil, Vivian Plemons and Leonard Davis; uncles, Colter Richardson, Cason Warner, Neches Howard, Jasper Donnell, Stephen Hudson, Joshua Foyil and Thomas Foyil; and aunts, Michayle Richardson and Olivia Foyil.

He was preceded in death by his great-great-grandmother, Alma Odessa Allbritton; and great-grandfathers, Bobby Warner and David McGaughey.

Pallbearers will be Hunter Waggonner, Justin McKinney, Clay Boston, Colton Havard, Cody Hawley, Tyler Windham, Tanner Handley, and Tommy Foyil.

Honorary pallbearers will be Stephen Hudson and Joshua Foyil.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Axton Richardson Fund at Angelina Federal Employees Credit Union, 900 Pershing Avenue, Lufkin, Texas 75904.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday evening at Carroway Funeral Home in Lufkin.
