Audria Ruth Pride

Funeral services for Audria Ruth Pride, 89, of Huntington will be held Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Huntington with Brother David Holland, Jr. and Brother Cary Modisett officiating. Interment will follow in Carrell Cemetery.

Mrs. Pride was born April 17, 1933 in Huntington, Texas to the late Elsie (Carrell) and Carl Walker, and died Saturday, March 4, 2023 at her residence.

Mrs. Pride was a lifetime resident of Angelina County and retired from Atkinson Candy Co. following 35 years of employment. She enjoyed traveling and being in the outdoors and loved hunting, going to garage sales, going to Baptist gospel singing on the weekends, and spending time with her family. Mrs. Pride was a member of Lala Hill Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Joe Gossett; grandchildren and spouses, Richard and Courtney Havard, Jennifer and Marvin Sullivan, Ryan and Kasey Havard, David and Lisa Pride, and Jerry and Yvonne Pride; great-grandchildren, Allie and husband Tanner Handley, Robert Sullivan, Emelin Pride, Parker Pride, Taylor Pride, Bryce Mann, Hunter Mann, Remington Minter, River Minter, and Justice Howell; great-great-grandsons, Ryder Handley, Jarrett Handley, and Hutson Handley; brothers and sisters-in-law, Carl Ray and Chloe Walker and Robert and Sherrell Walker; special nephew that can do no wrong, Donny Harris; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 52 years, JB Pride; son, Bennie Pride; son and daughter-in-law, Frank and Carolyn Pride; sister, Iva Dell Harris; and brother, Bernice Walker.

Pallbearers will be Don Harris, Donny Harris, Robert Sullivan, Chick Harris, Jason Carrell, Marvin Sullivan, Kenneth Simmons, and Bryce Mann.

The family extends special thanks to Maria and Sophie of Harbor Hospice for their loving care.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home in Huntington.
