Audrey Brock Montes

Audrey Brock Montes, 78, of Lufkin died Friday, August 3, 2018 at The Joseph House. A private family service will be held.

Mrs. Montes was born April 11, 1940 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Beulah (Bynum) and Samuel Brock.

Mrs. Montes resided in Lufkin all her life. She was a retired LVN, working for Dr. Juan Martin and Dr. Rick Martin. She enjoyed gardening, growing flowers and cooking. Mrs. Montes was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Daphne and Paul VanEman of Lufkin; daughter, Alicia Anderson of Lufkin; son, Sam Anderson of Lufkin; grandchildren and their spouses, Jennifer and Bob Scott, Clay and Britni VanEman, and Alicia K. Anderson; great-grandchildren, Kristin Scott, Kylie Scott, Madison VanEman and Ty VanEman; sister, Beatrice Smith of Huntington; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Jerry L. Green and Stephen Montes; and sister, Geneva Whitworth.

The family would like to express special thanks to the staff at Neches House, The Joseph House, and Affinity Hospice.
