Annie Yvonne Poage

Funeral services for Annie Yvonne Poage, 81, of Pollok will be held Saturday, June 29, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Kevin Poage and Pastor Josh Poage officiating. Interment will follow in Gann Cemetery.

Mrs. Poage was born September 1, 1942 in Pollok, Texas to the late Ossie Audrey (Harvill) and Oatha Box Stephens, and died Tuesday, June 25, 2024 in a local hospice facility.

Mrs. Poage retired from Wells ISD where she was a cook in the cafeteria. She was a member of Clawson Assembly of God.

Survivors include her daughter, Connie Wheeler of Wichita Falls; son and daughter-in-law, Pastor Kevin and Tina Poage of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, Annette and Chuck Stewart of Pollok; 23 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Danett Stephens of Spring; brother-in-law, Jerry Branham of Houston; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Foy Neal “Red” Poage; daughters, Darlene Williams and Linda Ahmed; sons, Allen Poage and Terry Poage; brother, O.B. Stephens; and sister, Jean Branham.

Pallbearers will be Chad Stewart, Jason McAdams, Kris King, James Rust, Robert Poage, and Allen Poage.

The family extends special thanks to the ladies at Hospice in the Pines, Jacqueline Johnson, and Linda Dorcz for their special care.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice in the Pines, 1504 W. Frank Avenue, Lufkin, Texas 75904.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday morning prior to the services.
