Andrew Scott "Scotty" Alfred

Andrew Scott “Scotty” Alfred was born September 9, 1979. Scotty left this world June 20, 2026 to join Jesus at his heavenly home at the age of 46. His passing was sudden and unexpected.

Scotty was born to David and Annie Beth Alfred in Lufkin, Texas. He lived with his mom in the same house he grew up in.

Scotty attended Lufkin High School, graduating in 1998. Scotty loved Christian music, visiting with friends, and attending church. He loved Dr. Pepper and helping others.

His phone calls always started with “Well hello how are y’all doing?”

Scotty is survived by his mother, Annie Beth; his sister, Ann and her husband Kevin; two nieces, Alexis and Alyssa; uncles, Charles “Bull” Smith and wife Hellen, and Jessie Alfred and wife Terry; aunts, Helen Reynolds and Dorothy Lyman; and a number of other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his father, David; brother, Little David; grandparents; and numerous other family members.

A memorial service will be held Friday, July 10, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. at Bethel Assembly of God Church in Hudson, Highway 94 West.
