A Celebration of Life to honor Alvie “Al” Luce and Jo Anne Luce will be held Thursday, February 22, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Carroway Family Reception Room.
Alvie “Al” Luce, 75, of Hudson was born February 9, 1943 in Nacogdoches, Texas to the late R.V. (Johnson) and A.C. Luce, and died Monday, February 19, 2018 at his residence. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.
Mr. Luce had resided in Hudson for 48 years. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and retired from Lufkin Industries. Mr. Luce was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Brig and Veronica Luce of Lufkin; daughter, Leigh Anne Yeates of Lufkin; grandsons and spouses, Chase and Lacey Luce, Tre’ Luce and Lauren Henderson, and Jack and Brandi Yeates, all of Lufkin; great-grandchildren, Griffin Luce, Emma Jane Luce, and Linley Yeates; brothers and sisters-in-law, Tommy and Gay Luce of Tyler and Robert and Marie Luce of Pollok; sisters and brothers-in-law, Edna and Dewayne Modisette, Doris Smith, Billie Sue Warnasch, and Debbie and Rex Pugh, all of Pollok; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jo Anne Luce.
The family extends special thanks to Mr. Luce’s special caregivers, Alyssa, Amber, Brittany, Chelsea, Chloe, Dawn, and Kellie for their loving care over the past several years.
