Allen Albert Travelbee

Masonic graveside services for Allen Albert Travelbee, 74, of Huntington will be held Thursday, June 25, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Huntington Cemetery, under the auspices of the Homer Masonic Lodge #254 A.F. & A.M.

Mr. Travelbee was born July 3, 1951 in Toledo, Ohio to the late Dovie (Phipps) and Elmer Albert Travelbee, and died Tuesday, June 23, 2026 in Lufkin.

Mr. Travelbee was a tugboat captain for 40 plus years and had resided in Huntington for more than 32 years. He was a member of the Homer Masonic Lodge #254 A.F. & A.M. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Glenda (Huffman) Travelbee of Huntington; son and daughter-in-law, Shawn and Jessica Travelbee of Splendora; daughter and son-in-law, Ashley and Aaron Schmidt of Huntington; grandchildren, Gentry, Dawson, and Allison; sister, Linda Kenner of Arkansas; and nephew, Eddie Kenner of Huntington.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Barbara Daly; and brother, Edward Travelbee.
