Alex Trawick

Funeral services for Alex Wesley Trawick, 16, of Lufkin will be held Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Eastview United Pentecostal Church with Reverend Justin Bullard and Reverend David Hunt officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.

Alex was born January 21, 2007 in Lufkin, Texas, and died Thursday, August 31, 2023 in a Houston hospital.

Alex was a Junior at Pineywoods Community Academy where he and his cousin Luke Wallace co-founded the P7 Bible Club. His passions were church, worship, playing drums, music, fishing, hunting, and being a steak connoisseur. Alex was a member of Eastview United Pentecostal Church. He participated in Bible Quizzing, was a TXYM Real McCoy, and was a drummer for the Texas District Youth Choir and Eastview United Pentecostal Church.

Survivors include his parents, Robert and Christie (Wallace) Trawick; sister, Whitney Trawick; grandparents, Robert Lee and Sherry Trawick of Lufkin, John and Christine Wood of Central Heights; uncles and aunts, Jason and Stephanie Wallace of Lufkin, James and Tammy Wallace of Meridian, Mississippi, Brian Trawick of Lufkin, and Michael Trawick of Houston; and numerous other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Howard Wallace of Jasper; and aunt, Sherry Kelliher.

Pallbearers will be Luke Wallace, Noah Wallace, Nate Wallace, Noah Collins, Izaiah Martinez, and Kase Sanderson.

Honorary pallbearers will be Alex Bobbitt and the Youth Boys of Eastview United Pentecostal Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alex Trawick Fund at Eastview United Pentecostal Church, PO Box 375, Lufkin, Texas 75901.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at Eastview United Pentecostal Church.

The services will be livestreamed on the Eastview UPC Facebook and YouTube pages.
