Funeral services for Albert William Tatrai, Jr., 73, of Huntington will be held Thursday, March 18, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Lufkin with Dr. Darryl Smith officiating. Graveside services with military honors will be held Friday, March 19, 2021 at 1:45 p.m. in the Houston National Cemetery.
Mr. Tatrai was born February 13, 1948 in McKeesport, Pennsylvania to the late Helen Sara (Lexie) and Albert William Tatrai, Sr., and died Wednesday, March 10, 2021 in a local rehabilitation facility.
Mr. Tatrai retired from the U.S. Army following 20 years of service to his country. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a huge Pittsburg Steelers fan. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. Mr. Tatrai was of the Catholic faith.
Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, Billy and Lisa Tatrai of Roscommon, Michigan and Ken and Janyl Tatrai of Huntington; daughters, Denise Caldwell and Earnest Jones, and Janet Stauffacher, all of Colorado Springs, Colorado; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; special niece, Debi Chorba; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Sonny; and sister, Margie.
