Michele Sheffield Hendry

Funeral services for Michele Sheffield Hendry, 59, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, August 4, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mark O’Neill officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.

Ms. Hendry was born May 27, 1959 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Claudine Mariette (Vazart) and James Duane Sheffield, and passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at CHI St. Luke’s Health Memorial.

Ms. Hendry was a lifetime resident of Lufkin. She worked for Pineywoods Pathology for 28 years. Ms. Hendry loved her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed listening to music and loved spending time at the beach with her family. She grew up attending Parkview Baptist Church.

Survivors include Dennis Hendry of Lufkin; daughters, Tamesha Hendry of Lufkin and Ashley Landry of Huntington; daughter and son-in-law, Kristin and Scott Bridges of Lufkin and son-in-law, Brian Landry of Lufkin; grandchildren, Cason, Allie and Cameron Landry, Lane and Reese Bridges; sister and brother-in-law, Trish and Rayford Dodd of Paris; brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Judy Sheffield of Alto; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Pallbearers will be Brian Landry, Cason Landry, Bryan Ezzell, Wiley Bryan, Russ Miesch and Paul Davis.

Honorary pallbearers will be Cameron Landry and Lane Bridges.

Michele’s family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the medical staff of CHI St. Luke’s Health Memorial who were involved in her care, and to Hospice in the Pines for their loving support.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon prior to the services.
