Funeral services for Mario Sauceda Urvina, 79, of Huntington will be held Sunday, October 1, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Huntington with Reverend David Hunt officiating. Interment will follow in the Jonesville Cemetery.
Mr. Sauceda was born March 8, 1938 in Saltillo Coahuila, Mexico, to the late Alejandra (Urvina) and Jose Sauceda, and died Thursday, September 28, 2017 at his residence.
Mr. Sauceda had resided in Huntington for six years and previously lived in Houston for four years. He had worked at Pilgrim’s Pride in Nacogdoches. He loved working and fixing things and he loved spending time with his family. He attended Eastview United Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include his wife, Jovita Sauceda of Huntington; sons, Mario Sauceda and Dora Allen of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Sergio Sauceda and Marina and Juan Sauceda, all of Nacogdoches, daughters, Elsa Badillo and Mario and Araceli Gutierrez and Roberto, all of Houston, Alma Maxwell and Cameron of Huntington, Lorena Sauceda of Monterey, Mexico, son, Gabriel Sauceda and Veronica of Nacogdoches; 28 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two brothers, five sisters, numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Pallbearers will be his sons.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Saturday evening at the funeral home.
