Funeral services for Bobbye Lou Wynn, 86, of Huntington, will be held Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Lufkin with Pastor Dwayne Thornton officiating. Graveside services will be held Thursday, September 28, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in the Grand View Memorial Park located at 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, Texas. Mrs. Wynn was born April 1, 1931 in Melrose, Texas, the daughter of the late Lorene (Gillis) and Columbus Allen Lunsford. She died Saturday, September 23, 2017 in Lufkin. Mrs. Wynn was a 1948 graduate of Nacogdoches High School. She was a beautician, and worked for Russell Stover Candies and Weingarten’s Grocery. During her lifetime, she lived mostly in Houston and Pasadena. Upon retirement, she moved to Huntington and lived among the beautiful pines on acreage of her niece, Jana Cates, and near her late sister, Ann Thomas, who preceded her in death. She loved watching the deer feed in her back yard and being close to her relatives. Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Richard Wynn of Huntington; son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Linda King of Nacogdoches; grandchildren and their spouses, Lance and Chevas King of Watauga, Lyndon and Rebekah King of Edmond, Oklahoma, Lee and Jill King of North Richland Hills; great grandchildren, Hayden King, Paige King, both of Watauga, and Luke King of North Richland Hills; sister, Doris Reed of Liberty Hill; aunt, Raye G. White of Houston; brother-in-law, Roger Thomas of Huntington; nieces, Jana Cates of Huntington, Patti Reed of Liberty Hill; grand-niece, Cassie Riegle and husband Clayton of Bossier City, Louisiana; grand-nephew, Colby Cates of Lufkin; stepson, Richard Wynn, Jr., of Hollywood, California; stepdaughter, Shana Chaney and husband William Bernard of Baytown; step-grandchildren, Anthony Lee Wynn of Denton, Kaheem Lemar Chaney of Pasadena; seven step-great grandchildren; as well as numerous cousins and other relatives. Pallbearers will be Lance King, Lyndon King, Lee King, Hayden King, Allen Ray Cates, and Colby Cates. Honorary pallbearer is Roger Thomas. The family will receive friends and loved ones at the funeral home from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Wednesday afternoon prior to the service.
