Graveside services for Mary Lyn Smyrl, 84, of Lufkin will be held Monday, September 18, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Aldredge Cemetery with Brother Elton Musick and Reverend Michael Chad Musick officiating.
Mrs. Smyrl was born March 19, 1933 in Hope, Arkansas to the late Linnie (Townsend) and Allen Williams, and died Friday, September 15, 2017 in a local facility.
Mrs. Smyrl had resided in Lufkin since 2000 and previously lived in Ft. Worth and Burleson for 30 years. She was a homemaker and caregiver and loved angels. She enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys, old westerns, and listening to The Gaithers. Mrs. Smyrl was a member of Grace Baptist Church.
Survivors include her grandsons, Reverend Michael Chad Musick and Cody Musick, both of Lufkin; granddaughter, Brandy Green and husband Jon of Lufkin; great-grandchildren, Logan, Kamron, and Brianna Green of Lufkin; son-in-law, Donny Musick of Huntington; brother, Shirley Williams of Dallas; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clarence O. Smyrl; son, William Smyrl; daughter, Karen Musick; and five brothers.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home.
